In a remarkable example of how the Internet has shrunk the world, one of the leading event management companies in the world booked Detune to perform at Club Med Kani Resort, Maldives.
With offices also in Australia, New Zealand and China, it was the UK office of CiEvents that coordinated a special one-off performance from Detune at the above resort on Friday 27th March 2009.
Communicating with the band via the World Wide Web, thousands of miles were no problem for Gloria Bettega of CiEvents UK and the performance went ahead without problems.
And what a performance! Detune said it was one of their most enjoyable gigs to date and CiEvents were so pleased with how it went, they penned a few words of gratitude (see below) and hope to use Detune again in the future.
“CiEvents booked Detune to perform at a gala dinner held at Club Med, Kani in the Maldives. Detune were certainly one of the highlights of our event.

The event was for 45 incentive winners from a large retail company in the UK. I was so pleased to find Detune through one of our FCm offices in India.

Fezu, the Band Manager was incredibly helpful, professional and friendly. I had total confidence that she would deliver as she kept me updated in the lead up and went the extra mile to make sure we met the resort and client requirements.

On the night the band played a wide range of international tunes from across the decades which engaged a varied crowd.
